Amelia Park materialised from the vision of its owner, Peter Walsh, who dreamt of building a facility where his friends and family could come together to share their love of horse racing and socialising. It is an exciting testament to how one person with a powerful vision can turn their dream into a reality.  

Peter purchased Amelia Park from his parent’s in 2002 as a blank canvas. His parents Vern and Jean Walsh had owned the property for many years and used it to adjist their race horses and run a few cattle and sheep. The property has always had great sentimental value to Peter and his brother and sisters.

After acquiring the property Peter set about transforming it into one of the most spectacular horse adjistment properties in Australia.

Amelia Park Estate offers many things to many different people. It is a place of business, passion, socialising, relaxation and a place where families can spend time together.

It all started from a vision in 1999 and is now nearing completion. One by one the facilities have been built to include; several state-of-the-art horse stables, a training track that surrounds a beautiful lake, horse paddocks covering hundreds of acres, a horse swimming pool, a tavern, stunning gardens, an outdoor kitchen, an exotic bird avery, a wine cellar, tennis court, lavish chook pen, and a children’s playground. A day spa is now in the process of being built.

Ultimately, Amelia Park is a place that is serious about horse racing. It has its own breeding program and offers its facilities for horse adjistment and training. It is also home to the now famous Amelia Park Horse Racing Syndicates.

The Amelia Park Horse Racing Syndicates are part of the revolution to make owning a part share in a race horse or two affordable for the every day punter. The syndicates are made up of people from around the world that have a keen interest in either horses, dressing up and going to the races or just having fun. There have been three Amelia Park syndicates to date and all have enjoyed success on the race track. Perhaps the most well known success was by Syndicate One’s Amelia's Reason.
